Stators for UAS electric motors

AERO-DRIVE

Wound, impregnated and fully tested stators for brushless motors of military and civil drones. Made in Europe on automated lines.

Three size families, needle winding and 100% electrical testing. For motor makers, UAS integrators and defence UAS programmes that need a European supply chain. Qualification planned for H1 2029.

WHAT IT DOES

The winding decides the motor

The stator carries the copper winding of a brushless motor. How precisely the winding is laid, insulated and impregnated decides how the motor copes with heat, vibration and long climbs at full power. AERO-DRIVE gives motor makers and UAS integrators a European source: the same process every time, each unit traceable to its materials and test record.

Needle winding

Trickle impregnation

100% tested

Automated needle-winding cells lay the copper on every tooth with tension control. Stack height, turns and wire gauge are adapted to the customer's motor.

Leads are terminated, then each stator is trickle-impregnated with automatic dosing and cured. Copper wire and electrical steel from European suppliers.

Every stator: resistance, insulation and surge test, with a test record linked to its serial number. Samples on a motor test bench.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS

Three sizes, one line

Three size families run on one automated line, so customers move between load classes without changing supplier. Design values until qualification is complete; characteristics, curves and interfaces under NDA.

Size families

AD-10, AD-20, AD-30: stator diameter class 60, 100 and 135 mm. Samples planned from Q1 2028.

Typical carriers

AD-10 medium multirotors · AD-20 heavy multirotors · AD-30 cargo UAS and small eVTOL.

Standards

IEC 60034-1, IEC 60034-18-41 and -18-21; MIL-STD-810H selected methods.

Qualification

BAAINBw, within the integrator's motor and system at WTD 61, planned H1 2029.
