Spools for fibre-guided UAS
AERO-SPOOL
Precision-wound fibre-optic spools. They give a drone a link that radio jamming cannot reach, from launch to the last metre.
10, 20 and 40 km. OTDR test of every spool over its full length. Made in Germany in an ISO 7 cleanroom. Supplied only to authorised end users under export licences. Qualification planned for H2 2028.
WHAT IT DOES
Clean pay-out to the last metre
On fibre-guided UAS, commands and video run over a single optical fibre that pays out from the spool during flight. The link emits no radio signal. The spool decides whether the fibre pays out cleanly to the last metre: winding precision, tension control and protection in storage are what we design.
Cleanroom winding
OTDR on every spool
Sealed for storage
CNC winding stations lay the fibre with tension control in an ISO 7 cleanroom (ISO 14644-1). Continuous fibre, no splices. Three lengths: 10, 20 and 40 km.
A reflectometer checks the full wound length before packing; spools outside tolerance are rejected. The record is kept by serial number.
Hermetically sealed packaging for long-term storage, labelled by serial number. The carrier interface is agreed with each customer.

HOW WE SUPPLY
Authorised end users only
AERO-SPOOL is sold only by WarTex Defense GmbH, Germany, to armed forces and companies authorised by their government, under the export licences the law requires. Tell us your organisation, end-user status and carrier class; we release the full datasheet under NDA after an export-control check.
